LUSC Announces Partnership with Boston Bolts

NEWTON, MA (July 10, 2011) –

FC Greater Boston Bolts,

one of the country’s premier youth soccer clubs, has announced its expansion into New Hampshire through a new affiliation agreement with the Londonderry United Soccer Club. This partnership will benefit both clubs as a result of the collaboration between coaches, the sharing of facilities, the development of top soccer players in NH and the opportunity for players to participate in the Bolts United States Soccer Development Academy.

"We are excited to welcome the Londonderry soccer club – the talented coaches and players – as an affiliate of the Greater Boston Bolts,” said Brian Ainscough, Bolts coaching director and architect of this relationship. Ainscough, who is also the Northeastern University men’s head soccer coach, continued, “Londonderry United has good soccer people who have the same interests – a focus on player development and respect for the game. In addition, they have the best soccer fields in NH.”

Dave Kelly, President of Londonderry United, said the LUSC Board of Directors is very pleased with this new affiliation. “We are very excited about our partnership with the FC Greater Boston Bolts," Kelly said. "The affiliation will help us raise the quality of our club even further. We feel the Bolts partnership will benefit all Londonderry United players and coaches, while providing new opportunities for some of our highly skilled players to play for a premier Bolts team."

All LUSC coaches will have access to the coaching curriculum provided by the Bolts coaching staff. The combination of the development curriculum and the clinics coached by Bolts coaches will enhance development of all players in the club.

“This partnership provides a wonderful opportunity for our club to enhance its coaching development and provides us with structure that allows all of our players to develop to their full potential and also play at their highest level,” said Todd Ellis, Director of the Londonderry United Boys program.
